Claine Keily is a poet who has written a vast array of texts over a period of thirty years. The styles of her work cover the forms of poetic prose, literary gothic fiction to confessional poetry. She is influenced by the Gothic Romantic writers, the Surrealists and Post Structuralist writers, such as Helen Cixous and Luce Irigaray. She has several degrees from the University of Sydney. Her Masters Degree focused on the works of Helen Cixous and Luce Irigaray, and posited an argument for/ around the necessity for complexity in writing. Extracts of her longer works have been published, by a range of publishers, over the last fifteen years. Her primary publisher is Dust Jacket Press in Colorado. This press produces an online publication called 'Standards'. A number of extracts from her novels and novellas, have been published by this press. More recently she has had poems published in Sotto, The Wonder Book of Poetry, and Notes for the Translator, Solstice Initiative (Ireland) and Cuttings (Sydney). Claine co-edited a limited edition literary journal titled 'Viola Tusk' for a period of seven years. She also produced deluxe artist books of her early writings. Claine illustrated these works with original prints from etched plates. Both Viola Tusk, and her deluxe artist books, form part of the rare books collection at The University of Sydney Library, The New South Wales State Library, The National Library of Australia, and The National Defence Force Library of Australia. She recently published two books that are available in Kindle and paperback form at Amazon.com. These books are Other Roads a volume of poetry by Claine Keily and Zeb Olsen, and The Practice of Beauty a collection of poems written in Europe in 2011. Both of these publications were on the best seller list for poetry in Australia during 2015 at Amazon. Claine performs her poetry with a variety of musicians and collaborates with a range of visual artists on video poems of her work. The artists she works with are Bonemap Intermedia, while the musicians she works with are Dariusz M Robertov of Epoch Collapse and Lars Wallin&The TribeLars (Sweden).
