In this synthesis-like work I have tried to demonstrate that the Civil War influenced the Indian Wars in the American West in several aspects. The analysis has been built by three units; The first one is a survey on the Indian history from the beginnings till the 1860s. The middle part contents deep connections between the Civil War and Indian politics. The last chapter presents useful instructions for educational purposes. I recommend this compilation for those who are interested in Native American / Civil War history and politics or simply eager to obtain some knowledge of them and for those who would like to get practical ideas to process this odd topic for school lesson teaching.
