He falls in love and gets tangled up with Freddie Fluck a free-lance journalist. His attempts to convince anyone that he really is a divine messenger are not entirely successful. Joshua's mission is further complicated when God decides to pay a visit to London to get close to the human condition. The Interventions is above all a love story but also a darkly humorous examination of the human condition in twenty first century Britain.
