Joseph B. Strauss, D.C., F.C.S.C., graduated from Columbia Institute of Chiropractic (now New York Chiropractic College) in 1967. Dr. Strauss was a professor at Pennsylvania College of Straight Chiropractic where he taught chiropractic philosophy from 1978 to 1994. He began writing for the chiropractic profession in 1991 with his first book, Chiropractic Philosophy, which continues to be read world-wide by chiropractors and chiropractic students alike. Dr. Strauss has written a total of 26 chiropractic textbooks. In 1992 Dr. Strauss was elected a Fellow of the College of Straight Chiropractic. In 1999 he was honored as Chiropractor of the Year by Sherman College of Straight Chiropractic in Spartanburg, SC. In 2013, he recieved the Chiropractor of the Year Award from the Christian Chiropractic Association. Dr. Strauss has lectured throughout the United States and overseas in Japan, Brazil, Sweden, New Zealand, and England on the subject of chiropractic philosophy.
