About the Author Dr. Mercy Offor has a doctor of philosophy degree in Organic Chemistry. She started her graduate studies at the University of Ibadan, Nigeria as a university scholar. She carried out research toward her doctorate degree at Clemson University, South Carolina and the University of Alabama in Huntsville, USA. She did postdoctoral research at the University of Warwick, Coventry, England as the recipient of the prestigious Commonwealth Fellowship award in 1983. She worked for over a decade teaching in the university. She did her post graduate diploma in education in National Louis University, Chicago and now teaches at the high school level in Chicago. She co-authored a science text book for the high school students "Dye Sensitized Solar Cells Module" and is the author of several books including the fascinating memoir "Refreshing Springs, Great Legacies from a Renowned Dynasty."
