JanMarie Sajna retired from a long career as an educator with a special emphasis in Integrating the Arts, and was known for her creativity, her organization skills, the musical plays she wrote for her students, and for her hats. She taught every level from Kindergarten to teachers in a Master's program, and even gave workshops for teachers in Integrating the Arts. Going beyond the call of duty, JanMarie was very active in developing curriculum, was an elected delegate to the National Education Assoc. Representative Assembly, was active in working on educational issues on local, state and national levels, editing newsletters, and working as a Professional Storyteller. She is an artist, a song-writer, a folk singer, a poet, an author, and has even remodeled several houses. Second oldest of ten with over 75 nieces and nephews of all ages, JanMarie comes from a family whose long interest in the Spiritual led her to being always and ever a Channel of Blessing for those with whom she comes in contact. Once invited to the White House by President Clinton, she has also received many awards among which are Teacher of the Year, winning one of five International Fellowships to the National Gallery of Art, and several Newsletter Editor honors through the National Education Association, etc. Being a long time member of the Search for God Study Groups through the Edgar Cayce Foundation, JanMarie is the On-site Coordinator for the Association for Research and Enlightenment Conferences held at Unity Village, MO. JanMarie has one son, and twin grandsons. She resides with her dog, KuBear, in a big house named Genesis House - with Genesis Walking Prayer Labyrinth in the front yard - on Winner Rd. in Independence, Missouri.
