The Life of an American Nomad: 50th Anniversary Edition of Ventriloquist and Magician Steve Holt (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9798246327685)

Steve Holt was placed in an orphanage at six-years old. A visitor saw his homemade puppet and brought him a ventriloquist figure. After taking ventriloquism lessons through the mail, Holt graduated and began performing at the age of ten.
Fifty years of magical performances are shared through stories, photos, and newspapers. See America through the eyes of a nomad as you come to understand why Holt often says, "I've been there."
Steve Holt, ventriloquist and master illusionist, was trained in the tradition of magicians Harry Houdini and Harry Blackstone. Holt ran away with a traveling circus, performed with a medicine show, and eventually produced his own full-evening stage production; The Miracles of Magic Show.
