Cherrie MacInnes is a veteran educator in the state of Maine with a masters degree in literacy and a Certificate of Advanced Study in education. She is the 2016 Penobscot County Teacher of the Year and a 2017 Maine Teacher of the Year finalist. Cherrie is so excited to share the story of how the third graders at Brewer Community School got a law passed to make the lobster Maine's official state crustacean.
