Sewing not only helped Shari build a special bond with both of her grandparents, but also gave her a deeper desire to learn. Math began to make more sense as she learned to measure, cut, and turn odd shaped flat pattern pieces into interesting three dimensional designs. History became more exciting as she became captivated by the dynamic fashions through the ages.
