The Lord's Supper: Followed by The Benefit of Jesus Christ Crucified by an Anonymous Reformation Author (1542) (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9798198335547)

Discover two powerful voices from the Protestant Reformation brought together in one compelling volume.

In The Lord's Supper, Martin Luther presents a vigorous and pastoral defense of the Lord's Table, emphasizing faith, forgiveness, and the true comfort offered to believers through Christ. Written with clarity and spiritual intensity, this classic treatise calls Christians to approach the sacrament with reverence, assurance, and gratitude.

Following Luther's work is the remarkable anonymous Italian Reformation text, The Benefit of Jesus Christ Crucified (1542), one of the most influential evangelical writings of the sixteenth century. Centered on justification by faith, the grace of God, and the complete sufficiency of Christ's atoning work, this powerful book deeply impacted many during the Reformation era and was fiercely opposed by the Inquisition because of its message.

Together, these two classics proclaim the heart of Reformation theology:
salvation by grace alone through faith in Jesus Christ alone.

This edition offers modern readers the opportunity to rediscover the spiritual depth, doctrinal clarity, and pastoral warmth of two enduring treasures from the Reformation.
