This is not your typical Amish story. A young Amish girl is kidnapped from her home and finds herself in a Chicago hospital with no memory of who she is or where she comes from. The only thing she remembers is her love of Jesus. During her stay at the hospital her memory begins to return slowly, at the same time the heart of a non believing doctor begins to soften towards Jesus and ultimately gives her life to the Lord. Meanwhile back in the Amish community there is a family desperately looking for their lost daughter and one church leader desperate to keep her lost. We find that all outward appearances are not necessarily what they seem. Through the work of a Chicago police officer and the local Chief of police in Millersburg the identity of a serial killer if uncovered and one of FBI's most wanted is taking off the streets.

I discovered the Amish culture during a Cultural Anthropology class I took while attending college. This triggered a passion for the Amish people as well as their culture and beliefs. I then spent over three years researching the Amish Communities in both Lancaster County Pennsylvania and Holmes County Ohio before writing my novel The Loss of Innocence. I attended Boise State University and I am a founding member of the Sumner Writers for Christ. I am currently living in Tennessee with my husband of 29 years. I try to take an active role in God's kingdom and my community through my writing.
