Thomas (Tom) Stalvey CAPS, CAM, HCCP, CPM, is a retired Vice President of Asset Management for a large southeastern bank. Tom was named National Manager of the Year for Clark Financial Corp. His sport passion included several types of individual sports including wrestling, weight lifting, hand ball, tennis, long distance running, drag racing motorcycles and others all at which he earned recognition for locally and nationally. After growing up in a small central North Carolina town he enlisted in the Air Force and after two years of training became a C-130 Loadmaster during what is known as the hottest years of the Vietnam War 1968 and 1969. During his service to our country he was decorated with the Distinguished Flying Cross, Six Air Metals, two Presidential Unit Citations and the Vietnam Gallantry Cross with "V" for valor in combat. At 33 years old Tom was severely injured in and accident nearly losing his life and losing his wife as a result. Truly, this was a mid life crisis leaving him to need to start all over again both socially and physically. He came back and was placed nationally as number 3 in the 181 lb class of Drug Free power lifters. Tom has two wonderful children and three beautiful grandchildren.
