The Marking at Storm Point: South African coastal mystery (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9781048307290)

Some things are lost to the sea. Others are hidden by history.

If you love mysteries with...

• Atmospheric coastal settings
• Hidden maritime history
• Cold cases and forgotten records
• Small-town secrets
• Amateur sleuths
• Layered mysteries that slowly unravel

...then The Marking at Storm Point is for you.

When twenty-one-year-old Kayla Visser disappears along the rugged coastline of Storm Point, it's ruled a tragic accident.

Her car is found.

Her phone is left behind.

And the ocean, as always, takes the blame.

But Elna Marais isn't convinced.

An amateur sleuth with a sharp eye for detail and an instinct for seeing what others overlook, Elna begins asking questions no one wants answered.

What starts as the search for one missing woman soon uncovers a web of smuggling, forgotten records, missing names in official archives, and a centuries-old maritime mystery that refuses to stay buried. A recovered ship's bell and cryptic markings hidden beneath the cliffs point towards a truth someone has spent generations trying to erase.

In a town where history has been carefully rewritten, Elna is about to uncover far more than the disappearance of one young woman.

Some secrets are buried beneath the sea.

Others were buried on purpose.
