Corey Jane Chriswell Bio I was born in Indianapolis, IN. My father was a performer, an Elvis impersonator. He died when I was eight. My mother's family lived in Somerset, Kentucky, where my mother moved me along with my sister. We got blessed with a great stepfather for a dad. I love the country, the land, the fields and streams over the hills. I love seeing what's in the world, but Kentucky is my home. To me poetry is a thought that sits still. I love to write. I take long walks at Lake Cumberland. I collect fossils, petrified wood and seashells. I am a bank teller at Cumberland Valley Bank. I have taught children basic skills, also worked with the elders helping them with any of their wants and needs. I enjoy seeing happiness in people's eyes. I enjoy life. I thank my mother and father for raising me right and my sister for being nearby. I'd also love to give thanks to my husband, Chris who illustrated this book for me and to God who helps me with every step I make.
