The Midas Gift: Wishes Can Come True (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9781731259523)

What if all your wishes came true?Like old King Midas, Aida, an ordinary, divorced mother wishes for a better life, but she soon finds that all that glitters isn't gold when her wishes become reality. Living in Virginia City in the 1970s, Aida's experiences in Nevada are far from ordinary...and her two outspoken teenagers discover that the Wild West is nothing like their native California. Aida is faced with a new job, a sexy man who wants to date her, a jealous boss, finding a friend she can trust, and her new life as a single parent. The dying father's gift of the maybe-magical Saint Midas medal, presents her with new insights...and potentially dangerous choices that affect the lives of everyone she loves. Does hearing a Voice no one else can hear mean that Aida is losing her rational mind? Will her deepest wish for a happy-ever-after ending ever come true?
