This is the study of the Gospel of John. While the four Gospels (Matt., Mark, Luke, and John) discuss similar aspects of the life and times of our Lord's public ministry to Israel ^{[Rom. 15:8]}, each of the Four Gospels writers have their unique purpose and reason for writing their Gospel. This excludes Peter walking water which is not in John's Gospel only in Matthew, which shall be discussed due its importance.) Signs were written to prove that Yehoshua is indeed the promised Messiah to Israel.^{1 Cor. 1:22}One of the key words for John is "believe" or "trust, " which he uses nearly a hundred times. Careful, the word "believe" is more than acknowledging the fact that it is historically true. The word "believe" involves personal commitment and trust in Jesus as Sovereign Lord. Simple historical or intellectual belief may not be genuine saving faith in Christ.And for this reason I suffer as I do.
