The Monkey Plays The Kettle Drum of Time (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9781452836126)

Remember the possibilities. For Packard Kinler, a member of an information retrieval unit called Data Assail, they could never be forgotten. Packard's ability to determine the best course of action in the field during data ops has made him indispensable to his team. That is until one night when things go terribly wrong and Packard finds himself on the run with a secret he can't understand and destinies he can't possibly hope to fulfill. And from this, he is granted a new talent - the ability to sample time itself, the power to open up parallel realities before his waking eyes. Yet, with every power comes a price. Packard must evade the pursuits of a power-hungry science cult and a corrupt national security force. There are those who claim that they can help him. But, can he trust them? And can he find a way to come to terms with his time-sampling abilities when time is also running out on him? The Monkey Plays the Kettle Drum of Time is a fast paced, science fiction action piece that asks the fundamental question: What if we could witness glimpses of our future to access better possibilities, to make better choices in our lives? And if so, should we?
