The Murder Notebooks (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9798990354166)

Detective Sam Cross finally has the quiet life he promised his family-trading stakeouts for a teaching position at the Police Academy. But while sorting through moving boxes, Sam discovers some old Notebooks that fracture his reality. Described within the Notebooks' pages are disturbing first-person accounts implicating him in eleven murders-all in Sam's own handwriting.

The problem? He has no memory of the horrific crimes or writing about them.

While struggling to keep the Notebooks a secret from his wife and investigating their contents, an anonymous tip sends the police descending upon his home and family. Overnight, Sam goes from decorated detective to the nation's Most Wanted fugitive: "The Exterminator."

Hunted by his former colleagues and unable to trust his own mind, Sam embarks on a frantic pursuit for answers about his own identity and a past he doesn't remember. Is everything Sam believes about himself a fabrication, or has he been monstrously betrayed by someone close enough to know the most intimate details of his life?

The answers lie in THE MURDER NOTEBOOKS.
