The Name Trilogy Book Two: THE YEAR OF JUBILEE: Abraham Abulafia and the Convergence of Jewish and Christian Apocalypse (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9798244054828)

What happens when prophecy fails-yet transformation continues?

The Year of Jubilee is Book Two of The Name Trilogy, an epic work of historical fiction exploring Jewish mysticism, Christian apocalypse, and the dangerous power of the Divine Name in the late thirteenth century.

Set between 1291 and 1296, this volume follows the aftermath of Abraham Abulafia's shattered prophetic expectations. The long-awaited jubilee year has passed. The Messiah has not appeared. And yet, something is still unfolding-quietly, unpredictably, and beyond institutional control.

Through multiple interwoven perspectives-Abulafia himself, a young Jewish scribe, Franciscan spirituals influenced by Joachim of Fiore, and seekers drawn to mystical practice-the novel examines the convergence of Jewish Kabbalah and Christian apocalyptic hope. Themes of gematria, letter mysticism, the Zohar, conversion, and spiritual authority are explored not as abstractions, but as lived realities with real consequences.

This book is ideal for readers interested in:

• Abraham Abulafia and medieval Jewish mysticism

• The Zohar, gematria, and the Divine Name (YHWH)

• Joachim of Fiore and Franciscan apocalyptic thought

• Jewish-Christian relations in medieval Spain

• Historical fiction rooted in theology, prophecy, and spirituality

More than a historical novel, The Year of Jubilee asks enduring questions:
Is redemption a date on a calendar-or a transformation of consciousness?
Can prophecy survive disappointment?
And what happens when the Name itself begins to speak?

Perfect for readers of Umberto Eco, theological historical fiction, and serious spiritual literature, this volume stands as a meditation on faith after certainty-and hope beyond calculation.
