CSM Sean M. May served in the Army as an Infantry and Military Intelligence Soldier from 1994-2017. He grew up in Chicago, Illinois and enlisted in the United States Army and attended Basic Training at Fort Benning, GA as an 11C Mortar-Infantryman. In 1998, CSM May reclassified MOS from 11C to 35P Cryptologic Linguist, and attended the Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center (DLIFLC) to learn Mandarin Chinese. CSM May has completed all levels of the Noncommissioned Officer Education System and he is a graduate of Class 63, U.S. Army Sergeants Major Academy. He holds a Bachelor's Degree from Excelsior College in Chinese Mandarin, has completed the Post Graduate Intelligence Program (PGIP) and earned a Master's of Science in Strategic Intelligence with a concentration in East Asian Studies from National Intelligence University (NIU). CSM May has served in multiple peace keeping missions to the Balkan states and deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan in support of the war on terror.
