The Neck Reset: A Complete System for Eliminating Mechanical Neck Pain (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9798199905770)

Your neck pain is not a mystery. It is a mechanical problem. And mechanical problems have mechanical solutions.

An adult head weighs ten to twelve pounds in the neutral position. Tilt it forward fifteen degrees - a typical glance at a phone - and the effective load on the cervical spine rises to twenty-seven pounds. At sixty degrees, the posture most people hold while texting, it reaches sixty pounds. Dr. Kenneth Hansraj estimated that people accumulate seven hundred to fourteen hundred hours of excess cervical stress every year from screen use alone.

The muscles, ligaments, and discs of the cervical spine were not designed for that load. Over time, they tell you so.

The Neck Reset is a complete, step-by-step system for reversing that damage - built on thirty years of clinical practice by Dr. Jeffrey Anderson, DC, CSCS, and delivered in a format you can follow at home in fifteen minutes a day.

The program is three phases, performed daily:

Phase One targets the complete myofascial chain from the fingertips to the sternum - the same continuous line of tension that your keyboard, your phone, and your steering wheel have been tightening for years. Phase Two re-establishes lat dominance and suppresses the trap-dominant motor pattern that forward head posture creates. Phase Three uses the Believe Neck Wedge to restore the natural cervical lordosis through gentle, sustained extension traction - session by session, measurably and reliably.

What you will find inside:

The Arm Lines stretch - the single most important movement in the program, and the one most people have never encountered. The Box Shoulder and Eagle Arms protocols for posterior chain release. The complete lat activation sequence. The Neck Wedge passive use protocol plus three progressive exercises: Chin Tuck, Chin Tuck with Rotation, and Chin Tuck with Lateral Bend. The Wall Posture Reset. A complete troubleshooting guide including guidance for vertigo, disc herniations, and post-surgical patients.

The results follow a reliable timeline. In the first two weeks the Arm Lines stretch reveals exactly where your restrictions are - almost always in the forearm first. By weeks three and four the wedge becomes comfortable, then genuinely relieving. By weeks six to eight the tension that used to build through the afternoon arrives later and leaves more easily. The headaches that seemed permanent begin to recede. The neck begins to feel stable rather than merely functional.

The Neck Reset is Book 2 in The Reset Series - a clinician-designed system for eliminating the mechanical pain that conventional treatment keeps missing.

Fifteen minutes a day. Six to eight weeks. The neck, given the right conditions, remembers how to hold itself up.
