The Optimizer: Our Business is Death and Business is Going Well (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9798243395724)

The perfect system has no room for a soul.
Dr. Cornelis Frost is a man of logic. As a world-class logistics consultant, he views the world through a single lens: optimization. From the sterile offices of Rotterdam to the chaotic heart of the Democratic Republic of Congo, Frost's mission is simple: eliminate inefficiency, regardless of the cost.

But when Frost is recruited to optimize the operations of a shadow private military organization, the variables change. In the "gray spaces" of global conflict, he discovers that war is just another supply chain-one where human lives are merely externalized costs and morality is a drag on efficiency.

As he navigates the dangerous intersection of high-stakes finance and paramilitary power, Frost must maintain his clinical detachment to survive. But in a world where "debts" are remembered better than "probabilities," even the most brilliant calculator can overlook an irrational variable.

The Optimizer is a chillingly precise look at the modern architect of chaos-a man who can solve any problem, as long as he doesn't have to feel the consequences.

Dr. Cornelis van Houte, former Navy servicemember, (callsign: Frost) is an elite military logistics consultant. He specializes in optimizing paramilitary supply chains and "kill chains" for PMCs across Eastern Europe and Africa.
