The Origin of Pagan Idolatry Ascertained from Historical Testimony and Circumstantial Evidence Part Three (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9780766193390)

The Origin of Pagan Idolatry Ascertained from Historical Testimony and Circumstantial Evidence V3 is a book written by George Stanley Faber. In this book, Faber explores the history and origins of pagan idolatry through historical testimony and circumstantial evidence. He argues that many of the pagan religions and practices of the ancient world can be traced back to a common source, and that this source is likely a corrupted version of the true religion of Noah and his descendants. Faber's research draws on a wide range of sources, including ancient texts, archaeological evidence, and comparative mythology. The book is the third volume in a series on the topic of pagan idolatry, and is intended for scholars and students of religious history and mythology.1816. Volume III of III. Faber was an obscure English divine, the author of some twenty-seven books, mostly on standard theological subjects, or on such topics as The Revival of the French Emperorship Anticipated from the Necessity of Prophecy. He was also a latter-day Christian mythologer intent upon the business of explaining away all myths and gods as simply corrupt versions of the Bible. This is an extensive three volume work detailing the typology between Pagan Idolatry and the Noahic History in the Bible. A must for historicists dealing with biblical history who see much Noahic history within pagan history and mythology. See other titles by this author available from Kessinger Publishing.
