The Perfect Child (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9781469938318)

How far would you go to have a guaranteed, healthy child? In a society where gene-altering is illegal, some parents will risk everything to give their babies the best possible start in life. Peter Mills is a rising political star who denounces genetic engineering as an abomination against God. Jon Valier, his formidable political opponent, a man born a perfect child believes that gene-altering promises a brave new society, one with stronger, healthier children. Serina Marshall agrees with Jon but is in love with Peter. She discovers a secret that will forever change the world view on gene-altering and threatens to destroy her relationship with both men. As Mills and Valier face off in a hotly contested run for President, the world learns the secret that presents a dilemna for every gene-altered child. How will they live with who, or what, they are?

The Perfect Child takes genetic engineering to its next logical step. But is mankind ready for the consequences?
