The Portal Beneath the Parquet (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9798180823335)

The Portal Under the Parquet is a fantasy adventure novel for young readers, combining basketball, friendship, courage and mystery.

Giosuè Masino is eleven years old and has just moved to a new city. He has left behind his old home, his friends and his beloved basketball team, the Air Wolves. All he has with him is his family, his passion for the game and the number 35, which means far more to him than just a jersey number.

At first, everything feels unfamiliar. A new school. New classmates. New teachers. A new life he never asked for.

But then Giosuè discovers something unexpected: behind his new house there is a small basketball court, and inside his new school there is a gym that looks like a real American arena, with shining parquet, professional hoops and an atmosphere that feels almost magical.

Soon, basketball becomes the beginning of something much bigger.

Giosuè meets Matteo, a funny and loyal friend, and Emily, a mysterious and incredibly talented basketball player with the number 11. Together, they begin to notice strange signs: blue lights beneath the floor, impossible shots, a voice hidden under the court and a secret that seems to be waiting for them.

Under the parquet lies a portal.

Beyond it, basketball is not just a sport. It is a bridge between worlds, a test of courage, teamwork and destiny. Giosuè, Matteo and Emily will have to face difficult try-outs, arrogant rivals, strange training sessions and a dark force known as the Dark Void, which threatens to destroy the game across all worlds.

Between magical courts, moving hoops, energy-draining baskets and impossible shots, Giosuè will discover that the greatest victories are not won by talent alone, but by trust, friendship and the courage to keep playing even when the whole world changes beneath your feet.

A story for children and young readers who love basketball, fantasy, adventure, friendship and books full of suspense, heart and imagination.

Every great adventure begins with a bounce.
