The foundation of our relationship with God begins with prayer (the sinner's prayer Romans 10:8-10), is strengthened by prayer, is demonstrated in prayer, touches the lives of others through prayer, one of the ways you will be led by the Holy Spirit is in prayer. The key to any relationship is COMMUNICATION. Prayer is communication with God. The only place the word prayer is used is in communication with God.

We are instructed to cast (give) our cares (daily concerns) to God in 1 Peter 5:7, that happens in prayer. Jesus instructed His disciples to go "make" disciples (Matthew 28:18-20). The disciples only asked Jesus ONE thing, "teach us how to pray". They witnessed Jesus go pray and come back and serve people with the power of God. They knew in order to fulfill Jesus' expectations for them they needed the same power.

Our children today are searching for the same power. It cannot happen without developing their relationship with God through prayer. The just shall live by faith (Romans 1:17), faith is developed in prayer by hearing the Holy Spirit, and through answered prayer. We believe that by teaching children to pray creates the connection with God that can never be destroyed by the world, the flesh, nor the devil.
