D.B. Gilles is a novelist, playwright and screenwriting professor in The Undergraduate Film & Television Department of New York University's Tisch School of the Arts. He loves pugs, in particular his two pugs Putney and Wesley, who were the inspiration for Plum, the Paris-based, talking, food writer and restaurant critic who became the toast of Paris. Mr. Gilles is an admitted Francophile and is a cook whose cooking style leans towards French country cooking. He is at work on a sequel to The Pug That Ate Paris entitled The Pug That Ate London in which he recounts his time when he became The Royal Chef of The Royal Family. Oh the stories he tells!
