Author Brenda Barnes is a lifelong horsewoman who began training horses and instructing riders professionally in 1998. She lives on a farm in the Tampa area where she trains Morgan horses and their riders for competition. Her horses and riders have won at competitions throughout the state of Florida and also at the Grand National and World Championship show in Oklahoma City. She has also managed a youth club that was twice named Reserve National Champion Youth Club of the Year at the Grand National show. Brenda's specialty is developing youth riders and fostering their involvement in the working and training of their horses. Brenda hopes to be instrumental in developing the next generation of young, professional horse women. Writing is an endeavor she has always wanted to do; she finally had the opportunity to embark on this literary journey with inspiration from the horses and riders she has worked with over the years. When not hard at work with her horses or typing away on her books, Brenda enjoys spending time playing with her dogs, her various indoor pet birds, or her beloved pet turkeys.
