Anita M. de la Cruz was born in Philadelphia, PA where she graduated from Temple University Tyler School of Fine Art BFA/MEd teaching art K-12 in the Philadelphia public school system. She also taught art in Puebla, Mexico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Austin and Manor, TX. Calligraphy at the University of Texas, and Spanish in private school. Anita is certified ESL, Interior Decoration and Photography. She presently lives in Round Rock, Texas and is an animal rights activist and vegan who volunteers at the Humane Society . She is a member of the National Art Education Association and will travel to Cuba with the NAEA delegation to exchange art education Philosophy, observation and methods. Anita has traveled and lived in Europe, the Caribbean and Latin America, paints in oils, watercolor, Batik, Pen & ink, Acrylic and pastels. She exhibits, sells and works on commission. She has spent years as a CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) in the U.S. Virgin Islands.
