Dr. Lee, newly retired from being Dean of Liberal Arts at the University of Central Arkansas, has taught at UCA as well as Haverford, Vassar, Bard, and Antioch colleges. As a graduate student, he helped to develop the second African-American Studies program in the country at the University of Wisconsin. Dr. Lee co-founded the International Conference on the Short Story in English in 1992, and has been instrumental in the growth of that conference ever since. Aaron Penn attended the University of Central Arkansas for both his graduate and undergraduate degrees. He has taught high school English and undergraduate courses at UCA, and currently edits the Journal of Caribbean Literatures and the publications for the International Conference on the Short Story in English.
