I don't usually write an afterword for the books I publish, but I had such a great time reading this YA tale of capture and rescue that I couldn't resist the opportunity to share my thoughts. I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to Hans David M?ller for creating this engaging and inspiring debut novel.

Although I am a few years older than Hans, we share a common bond through the cultural icons that shaped our imaginations. Characters like Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia Organa, Captain James T. Kirk, and Spock left a lasting mark on both of us. Their adventures, courage, and determination influenced the way we saw the world and helped us navigate our own paths in life. These stories of heroism and perseverance resonate with me to this day.

Now, at the age of 70, I still find joy in revisiting these beloved characters. Watching reruns of "Star Wars" and "Star Trek" brings a sense of nostalgia and wonder that never fades. It's clear that Hans has drawn from the same well of inspiration, weaving his own story of bravery, friendship, and the triumph of hope over adversity.
