The restaurant plays a major part in their lives. One night, in a transient desperation to free themselves from the shackles of bonded labour, they lost the only hope of their life. The story also encompasses Derora, who after serving for so long in the home kitchen finally decided to seek her freedom. The story is about their sisterhood, struggles, hope, dreams, desires and miseries."
