The Sanghunters is the second book in the Kudzu Clan series. This book continues the story of the McKaine siblings as they live in hiding in their uncle's secluded cabin in the mountains of North Carolina.
Their uncle's property is being threatened by back taxes, which could result in the discovery of their hiding place. This prompts their grandfather to leave the mountain in a desperate attempt to find their missing uncle.
The job of holding the family together falls squarely on the shoulders of the oldest sibling, Jessie. She finds it increasingly difficult to provide food for her growing brothers and sisters.
