Jose Resende received his Doctorate in Sociology from the Faculty of Human and Social Sciences, New University of Lisbon in 2001, and is presently a Researcher at Forum Sociologico at the Permanent School Observatory of Instituto de Ciencias Sociais, University of Lisbon.
