This novella, written with teens and young adults in mind, takes these two young girls, and a lazy hound dog named Skeeter, from being complete strangers into a relationship that must be built on total trust and friendship. And, a lot of this amazing transition takes place in an underground root cellar that is now their only safe place-their secret hideaway.
