The Shuttered Summit: Some resorts close for the season. This one closed for a reason. (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9798277784341)

Eight friends.

One shuttered ski resort.

By the time it's over, one of them is dead and the others are lying about what really happened.

The Summit used to be a glossy Northern California ski resort. Now it's chained off and abandoned, "closed for the season" with no real explanation-just rumors.

For media-and-journalism major Alyssa Hart, it sounds like the perfect story. For her friends-Carter Blake, Britney Collins, Cameron Zane, Tiffany Parker, Taylor Marshall, Addie Morgan, and true-crime podcaster Justin Brooks-it's the perfect dare.

One forbidden weekend in an empty resort.

No staff. No cameras. No rules.

Inside the dark owners' wing and silent corridors, the group crosses lines they can't uncross. By the time they make it back to campus, they've agreed on a single pact: no one outside the group can ever know exactly what happened on that mountain.

Then one of them turns up dead.

The university wants it handled quietly.

Detective Serena Ibarra wants answers.

And Mira Kline, host of the hit podcast Closed for the Season, wants the truth-or at least the version that will keep her listeners hooked.

As police questions, podcast episodes, and online theories close in, the seven survivors are forced to confront what they did, what they saw, and what they're still hiding about The Summit and the night everything went wrong.

Because The Summit didn't just close for the season.

It closed for a reason.

And someone out there is determined to make sure that reason finally comes out.
