On an intercept course, the Sardonian Battlecruiser prepares to stop the invading humans and prevent them from reaching the outer rim of Sardonian space. It's here that the universe asserts its will. A creature aboard the battlecruiser, Neebo, breaks loose from containment, killing the crew and finding its way to the human Ark with the help of its creator, Dr. Folisimek.
The Ark Errack sustains casualties of two mechanical crew, driving grief-stricken Gwendolyn Keratin to make a rash decision, awaken Dr. Errack, the genetically engineered eugenicist who set them on their mission two hundred years ago. Only Gwen's hubris and grief cause her to rush the process, turning their once genius leader to madness and megalomania.
It seems that when something needs to be fixed aboard the Ark Errack, it always comes down to Max Mendenshall. His only goal, keep the ship operational to their destination.
The POV approach and witty dialog move along the story effectively with bold and often cinematic action scenes. The characters are deep with rich personality living in a nuanced and complicated world none of them could be prepared for. From mad scientists and life absorbing tyrants, genetically enhanced humans and creatures, to forbidden loves, cannibals and abominations which will make your skin crawl.
