The group of new characters sets off on a quest to destroy the lich and free the realm from his tyrannical reign. During their journey they battle mystical creatures, the elements, and human nature to reach their objective. Nothing is quite as it seems however, and the end comes with its own special twists and turns. Through it all Kristen and her friends learn the importance of guarding their hearts against all forms of depravity. They also learn that even though sometimes bad things happen to good people, oftentimes good people are given the opportunity to change bad things.
