The Story Teller: An Orphans Journey to Enlightenment and Freedom. (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9781790119714)

Everyone searches for happiness and significance in their life. The story we tell ourselves about our life determines whether or not our life is a success or failure. Many great teachers have taught the importance of claiming a positive story, but few have provided the logical explanation of why a positive outlook is the actual basis of our reality. THE STORYTELLER, a work of spiritual fiction by Joe Legolvan and Brian Laberge, is a refreshing exploration of the blissful identity that we really are, beyond all of our stories. It offers readers of all ages and backgrounds hope, understanding, and encouragement for their own personal quest for a peaceful, joyful, and fulfilling life. Residing in a world much like our own, Refugio is an orphan who enjoys observing the strangers around him because they have seemingly important stories and lives. Yet he deeply longs for a story of his own. Leaving the orphanage and setting out to find his story, he is thrust into a journey of profound self-discovery. Along his journey he meets three distinct characters who attempt to "teach" Refugio who he is. After the first two characters leave Refugio with a bleak, shallow, and heartbreaking story, he feels lost and dejected. Then he meets a witty, loveable, subtly magical old man who reminds Refugio of the power we all have to be our own story-tellers. Expounding on this teaching, this blissful man uses simple yet profound examples to unveil spiritual truths that relieve numerous fears and doubts. As their trust deepens, Refugio slowly comes to understand the eternal nature of reality and his own true nature, beyond his mind and stories.Join us on an amazing journey of self discovery and freedom.
