I was ten years old when I consciously sat down with pen and paper and decided to write a story. Four years later I finished the first draft of a novel, and I've been writing ever since. In the meantime I've studied mathematics and law, been married and divorced, run a restaurant, worked in a flying school, shoveled horse manure in a stable, and had several jobs including the label of "technician" -- airport line tech, mental health, and geotechnical engineering -- been a proofreader, and volunteered in aviation museums in different capacities. I read omnivorously, am co-owned by six cats, and have a wonderful woman in my life who is far better than I deserve.
