The Sum of Five (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9781067702939)

You are the average of the five people you spend the most time with. So who's pulling YOU forward - and who's holding you back? Mitch Carter is stuck. Same job. Same routine. Same girlfriend who doesn't see him. He's working hard but going nowhere - until five chance encounters change everything. In this gripping business parable, follow Mitch's transformation as he discovers the brutal truth that top performers already know: WHO you surround yourself with matters more than WHAT you do. From a riverside conversation that cracks open his biggest blind spot, to a midnight breakdown that forces him to confront the imposter living rent-free in his head - Mitch's journey is the wake-up call every ambitious 20- or 30-something needs. WHAT YOU'LL DISCOVER: - Why your inner circle is the #1 predictor of your future - How to spot the people quietly draining your potential - The five archetypes every successful person needs in their corner - Why hustle harder is the wrong answer - and what works instead - How to rebuild your network without burning bridges. Whether you're stuck in a career rut, recovering from a setback, or chasing your first big breakthrough - The Sum of Five will challenge you to take a hard look at the people in your life and the person you're becoming because of them. If The Go-Giver, Who Moved My Cheese, or The Alchemist moved you - this story will hit different. The right people can change your life. The question is: are you brave enough to find them?
