Mike Flinn is an amateur historian and writer from Adel, Dallas County, Iowa. His hobby, for the last several years, has been researching and writing about local history. His first book, "Most Exciting Day" told the true story of the 1895 robbery of the Adel State Bank. He has also written "To Talk of Many Things" a collection of family history and stories of the local area, "A Soldier's Bounty" a Civil War novel, and "The Silent Cannons" a sequel to "A Soldier's Bounty." He is retired and lives with his wife, Dana, in the old family farmhouse in rural Adel, Iowa.
