Some of my fondest childhood memories are of running around the woods of North Carolina and Vermont, playing LEGO with my brother, waking up to the smell of fresh baked muffins, and imagining things with any of my siblings who wanted to join me. My adventures have taken me first to Scotland, then England, then nearly back to America which somehow actually turned into us settling in Wales. I have three children, a very ignorant interest in outer space, a thirst for asking questions, and no qualifications that are of any particular interest. One of my greatest passions in life is stories. Reading, writing, watching, hearing...experiencing stories. I love to explore life through stories. Somehow things make more sense when they're brought to life in the fullness of a good tale. When I'm drawn into someone else's mind, feelings, and experience I can begin to understand myself and the world around me. When one of these stories shows me the finger prints of the Creator and Sustainer of life, my heart sings. These tales brand lessons into my heart and mind. They inspire me the moment I read them and countless times afterwards. Seeing others struggle and triumph, whether in true events or imagined, I'm reminded that people do not live and struggle in isolation. We all toil through this fallen life together, even when our trials are so deep and personal no one else can understand them. The greatest comfort to all the twists and turns of our stories comes from the greatest Story Teller of all. His story is woven through all of our lives and all of our stories. It's a story as old as time. One of sacrifice and rescue. Of love and betrayal. It is a plan to make everything new in splendor beyond what any of us could ever imagine. And so I write, with a hope to inspire and encourage, to explore and to experience, and especially to show a small piece of the Greatest Story of all.
