Charles (Chuck) R. Lanham was ordained into the Permanent Diaconate September 17, 2011. It has been a long and often tortuous road. Deacon Chuck currently serves the parish of Saint Albert the Great Catholic Community of the Diocese of Reno, Nevada. He is the Director of Adult Faith Formation and Homebound Ministries for the parish, conducts adult faith formation workshops, and is a frequent homilist. He writes a weekly column for the parish bulletin and is a contributor to the Diocesan newspaper. He is also the current president of the Catholic Professionals & Business Group of Reno, NV. Happily married to Janet for forty-six years, they have two daughters and five grandchildren. He holds undergraduate degrees in History / Political Science, and Business Administration, and a graduate degree in Computer Science. He is a Vietnam Veteran who served in the U.S. Army for nine years. He has worked at several large computer and software companies, and as an entrepreneur has founded three startup businesses. He is the author of numerous technical papers and books and currently shares a patent for a remote monitoring device.
