Colin Cutler's love of Germanic literature and mythology began when he discovered Beowulf at 12, and this interest received further impetus from studying Tolkien and his sources in the Anglo-Saxon, Norse, and Finnish tales. Dubbed Patrick Henry College's "warrior-poet" for being the only Literature major in Army ROTC, he graduated in 2010 with a degree in Literature, which he plans to eventually turn into a graduate school and teaching career. In the meantime, Colin has settled in the foothills of Loudoun County, VA, where he works, serves in the Army National Guard and is a member at Ketoctin Covenant Presbyterian Church. His hobbies are reading, writing, front-porch-sitting, gardening, making good food and music with friends, and going for rambles in the country with his fiancee, Elizabeth.
