""The Way of Congregational Churches Cleared"" is a theological treatise written by John Cotton, a prominent Puritan minister in colonial New England. The book provides a detailed defense of the Congregationalist form of church governance, which emphasizes the autonomy of individual congregations and the importance of democratic decision-making within the church.
