John Tarttelin was born in England at Grimsby, Lincolnshire and trained as a teacher of history and geography at Sheffield City College of Education. He has been writing books and articles for forty years. His novels include detailed historical research and information gleaned from hundreds of books in his own library. In 2008 he was asked by Ben Weider to join the International Napoleonic Society. His many articles for the INS became The Real Napoleon - The Untold Story which contains unique historical research. As well as fantasy fiction like The Weavers of Time, he also writes horrotica novels - a blend of horror and erotica. So far he has written three such novels: Incubus Gothic; Total Zombie; and Soul Survivor. His other interests include playing the piano, running and country walking.
