Phyllis Bohonis grew up in Northwest-ern Ontario. She and her husband, Ray, enjoyed numer-ous sum-mers in the areas west and north of Thunder Bay. The lakes and side roads off Spruce River Road (Hwy 527), the setting for The Wilderness, are well known haunts for fishing and hunting. Phyllis's previous novel, Fire in the Foothills, was set in the foothills of the Canadian Rockies. She takes great joy in setting her stories in places she's visited. Her third novel is also set in Northwestern Ontario.
