My Granddaughter's name is Bloom. It's a name that's been in her father's family for many years.
A good friend of mine, Julia Rueger, is an accomplished dollmaker. She created a fairy doll and asked me if she could name her doll Bloom. Of course, I was thrilled. When I saw her doll, I was immediately inspired to write about her. I have pictured her here.
