Camille is passionate about peaceful, nonviolent, respectful, and gentle parenting and relating to others. She has two children whom she loves deeply, and has done her best to raise them respectfully with long-term goals in mind. Her most notable influences are Magda Gerber's Resources for Infant Educarers (RIE), Thomas Gordon's Parent Effectiveness Training (PET), Marshall Rosenberg's Nonviolent Communication, and the example of God's unconditional love for His children demonstrated through various examples in the Bible. Camille believes that the Parenting Journey has just as much to do with the parenting of the parent, as it does with the parenting of the child. Camille hopes to share the healing and joy that a mindful and reflective relationship with your child can bring. She regularly updates her resources with the most relevant research available, and finds great joy in helping others learn to relate to their children and loved ones through genuine and honest relationship. Camille completed a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Criminal Justice at the University of the Fraser Valley in 2009, and will graduate with an Honours Bachelor of Social Work in Spring 2018. Most recently she has worked as a Crisis Response Service Worker, while maintaining her focus on supporting and advocating for children and families.
